Public Private Partnership discussion regarding Public Safety Interoperability in Rideau/Market area

Hosted by Ottawa Emergency Services and the Canadian Interoperability Technology Interest Group (CITIG), we are pleased to invite you to a special public safety interoperability meeting on Thursday, November 1 in Ottawa to discuss PATHcomm.

PATHcomm is an approach successfully applied in other Canadian cities that significantly enhances public safety by providing functional, two-way, interoperable communications between the private sector and public emergency services. The process, based on all five lanes of the interoperability continuum, facilitates efficient exchange of information, providing real-time "situational awareness" to stakeholders during an emergency to better allocate resources and coordinate emergency response plans.

This meeting will be of particular interest to:

  • Members of the Downtown Rideau Business Improvement Association and the Byward Market Business Improvement Association
  • Other members from Industry or private security firms
  • Local emergency responders
  • Elected officials and the general public

The meeting takes place on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (presentations and facilitated discussion) with and additional hour from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for networking at the Courtyard Marriott Ottawa Hotel in Ottawa's Byward Market. Attendance is free, but you must register. We hope to see you there!
